Children's Chance International

Our Mission
Committed to serve children, youths, women and other vulnerable groups by supporting their protection and health, upholding their rights and secure them a better world of mutual love and admiration.
Our Aim
Empower the children, youths and women and their household especially vulnerable groups such as the abused children, child mothers, orphans, war affected and youth, also persons living with HIV/AIDS and persons living with disability (PWDs) to be food secured, know their rights and grow up as responsible persons.
Our Vision
To be the world-premiere in moulding a society without conflict and poverty but love and prosperity where children, youth, women and other vulnerable groups are protected, cared for and nurtured to be self-reliant.
YEARS OF JOURNEY
It was started in April 2008 with a vision to empower orphans and other vulnerable children, youth, women and other disadvantaged people such as persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the post conflict region of northern Uganda. The organization was started to serve humanity and out of passion for the plight of the suffering people in northern Uganda particularly those of children, youth, women and PWDs. To realize the vision, the organization works through providing life skills training, livelihood support, Agricultural development and the provision of educational opportunities as a means to mitigate the impacts of conflicts, poverty and Health related challenges. CCI has been mandated to operate nationally though currently working in Lango, Acholi and Teso Sub regions. CCI-Uganda hopes to expand to other districts in the entire country.
CHILDREN HAVE THE RIGHT TO PLAY, EAT AND GO TO SCHOOL
We empower the children especially vulnerable groups such as the abused children, child mothers, orphans, war affected children and youth, also persons living with HIV/AIDS and persons living with disability (PWDs)to know their rights and grow up as responsible persons.
Today in Developing Countries, life has become increasingly difficult and challenging especially for the marginalized groups such as vulnerable youth, Children and women across different regions and ethnic groups In sub-Saharan Africa. Running from south to East and North to West, there has been a lot of contributing factors towards these and making lives completely unbearable and these are as a result of war, Natural disasters, HIV Aids, unemployment leading to high rate of Poverty; Poor governance and many others that have deprived these special population their rights and opportunities to explore their potentials
OUR SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Livelihood
To enhance livelihood capacity for poor households and families affected by poverty, war and HIV/AIDS.
PEACE
To promote and engage in peaceful means of conflict resolution sensitization and awareness campaign
Rights
To promote and protect the Rights of all vulnerable Children and women through violence prevention activities.
HEALTH
To support and promote health interventions through prevention and response to HIV/AIDS, T.B, Malaria, fight malnutrition, Promote Water Hygiene and Sanitation in the communities in Uganda.
Agriculture
To promote improve and promote modern agricultural practices, agribusiness and entrepreneurship practices among rural farmers in Uganda.
Shelter & Food
To provide low cost shelter (houses) and support food production and income generating activities initiated by the youth. Child- headed families and child mothers.
Education
To provide educational opportunities and sponsorship to the disadvantaged school age going children and youth at different levels of education.
Facilities
To establish educational educational and medical facilities as a means of responding to poverty, diseases and promote literacy.

CCI UGANDA's STAFF
With 16 staff CCI is headed by the Executive Director who oversees the program activities through the program coordinator. Departmental head work with project officers and field officers to implement field activities and provide all the accountabilities to account assistant and timely reports to to the program coordinator who in turn reports to the director and the donors
